Storage Strategies

Your seed phrase is the master key to your funds. The goal is to minimize single points of failure while keeping recovery simple for you (and only you).

Recommended basics

• Keep at least one offline backup in a physically secure location.
• Separate storage: don’t keep the plate next to your hardware wallet and PIN.
• Limit exposure: avoid taking photos or typing the phrase on internet-connected devices.

Redundancy vs. splitting

A second full backup is simplest. Splitting can reduce theft risk but increases the chance of accidental loss. If you split, document your recovery process carefully and test it.
