Hardware Wallet Guide
A hardware wallet keeps private keys in a dedicated device and reduces exposure to malware on your computer or phone. Your seed phrase is still the ultimate recovery key — and that’s what you stamp into steel.
What to look for
- Transparent security model and regular firmware updates.
- Recovery compatibility (BIP‑39 seed phrases are common).
- Clear, usable recovery and verification flows.
After setup
Once your wallet generates a recovery phrase, write it down once, then stamp it into steel using the Setup Guide. Verify the phrase by performing a recovery test (on a spare device or in a safe environment) before storing your backup away.
